portion of the voyage beyond Bombay. Rebate on the voyage

to Bombay has been deducted in calculating the relative

cost of passages given in paragraph 1 above.

When an officer holds a return voucher by P.& 0., the

extra cost, if booked by Nippon Yusen would be increased,

since the vouchers of these companies are not interchangeable.

Insurance against war risks can be made by officers at

a lower rate with the Japanese Government if travelling by the Japanese Line than with the British Government if travelling by P.& 0. The respective rates at present are 2 guineas and 5 guineas per cent.
